The sale was announced recently, stating that Devilfish Gaming Plc., the firm behind Devilfish Poker sold the virtual poker room to a yet unnamed party for a total of Ł300,000, Ł40,000 in cash and the rest in shares of the new parent company. The sale is not completed yet, and is "subject to satisfactory completion of due diligence and legal process" as it reads on the Devilfish Gaming website.
The reasons behind the sale are not known as an official announcement is yet to come, until then we can only speculate it is the outcome of the financial problems Devilfish Poker has been facing for a few months now. David Boeden, director of Devilfish Gaming also resigned this November, it appears there are serious problems indeed.
