Multi-Entry Tournaments allow players to register for the same tournament multiple times, and each entry will receive a chip stack and a seat at different tables. The maximum number of entries per person is determined by the number of tables within the tournament, as one player can not have two entries at the same table. If a player has more entries than there are tables left in the tourney, two entries will be merged into one.
When it comes to merging, it will always be the entry at the table that ceases to exist and the entry with the least chips that merge. All players at the table will receive a notification if a merger takes place:
When two entries merge, the system will consider the entry at the non-existing table as eliminated. For example, if there are 18 players remaining after a merge, then the entry that got merged will finish the tournament in the 19th place.
If the tournament does not only pay for the final table, it is possible to get into the money with more than one entry. It is possible, that in a game with 9-handed tables, we have two entries left at two tables, and the first 18 players are rewarded. If both our entries make the final table, they will merge. The entry appointed to merge will officially finish the tournament in 10th place, and receives a prize according to that.
Our standings can easily be tracked during gameplay, by simply clicking on the ’Tourney Info’ tab:
Multi-Entry Tournaments are equipped with an ’IE’ sign in the Lobby. There are several types of Multi-Entry Tournaments, including Rush Poker, Knockout and Rebuy.
If we have found the tourney in which we would like to participate, we have to set the number of entries after registering. All Multi-Entry Tournaments have a limit concerning the number of entries, and this is determined by the number of tables.
Otherwise, the tournaments are identical to all the others at Full Tilt Poker, the only difference is, that one player can be present at several tables, thus increasing the chances of winning (and the prize pool as well, of course).
