The site has announced their newest innovation, which makes rake smaller and the bounties bigger for the tournament players. The changes will come into force on May 6th, the starting day of the $40 million GTD POWERFEST series.
"After reviewing feedback from the poker community and lobbying from Patrick Leonard, we will remove rake on the bounty element on all our PKO MTTs with effect from Sunday 6th May, in time for our Powerfest PKO events," - said Tom Waters, Partypoker managing director.
The reduced fees will be in place for half a year, with plans to make it a permanent reduction, however as this is a huge cut to Partypoker's MTT income, Waters expressed their hopes for a warm welcome by their players: "We have over 350 PKO MTTs per week with guarantees of over $4 million, so clearly, we will need players continued support to remain competitive revenue wise with other online poker sites,"
