The Progressive Knockout format makes sure that the later stages of the tournaments will have plenty of players with a fat bounty on their heads, adding some extra juice to the huge prize pools.
There will be four Championship events with a combined prize pool of $2 million:
Championship Events | Date | Buy-in | Guarantee |
KO Series #02-HR [Championship Event - 6-Max] | Sunday 3rd June | $530 | $500,000 |
KO Series #03-HR [Championship Event - Smooth] | Sunday 3rd June | $1,050 | $500,000 |
KO Series #37-HR [Championship Event - 6-Max | Sunday 10th June | $530 | $500,000 |
KO Series #38-HR [Championship Event - Smooth] | Sunday 10th June | $1,050 | $500,000 |
As Partypoker recently erased the fee on the bounty element of their KO tournaments, these events run with the lowest rake out there.
Partypoker Ambassador, Patrick Leonard has just ended his POWERSCOOP grind but is ready to get back to the online felt: "After the success of the first KO Series and the feedback we got from the players it was certain partypoker were going to run it again. When we initially offered PKO tournaments I was generally against the format, I thought it took the ‘pureness’ out of tournament poker, but because of the insane popularity I was forced to play because the prizepools were so big! To my pleasant surprise I loved them, people played way looser and there was a lot of action. They feel very fun to play and a proper designated KO series is the logical thing to do. I'm really excited for it and knocking my friends out with some pretty hands instead of strong ones!"
At Partypoker, there is no shortage of action, as they already announced their FIFA World Cup promotion, with $80,000 up for grabs.
