The first edition of the PokerMasters kicked off last year and met a warm welcome by the poker community. The great tournaments, with high buy-ins and outstanding structure, attracted the best players from all around the world.
It was Steffen Sontheimer who dominated the series, cashing four times, winning two of the events, to accumulate a total of $2,733,000 as well as the Purple Jacket.
With such success, it is no surprise to see the series coming back. Just like the last time, both NLHE and PLO events are on the menu, but this year has a little additional juice added to the schedule: a 2-day Short Deck No Limit Hold’em tournament with a $10,000 buy-in will debut in the US.
As the game is getting bigger and bigger - already the most favored game amongst Asian players - it's a natural move by PokerCentral to organize an event for the newest variant of the game.
The buy-ins will range between $10,000 and $100,000 making sure, the world's best players will be standing in line at the cage in the ARIA Casino.
