World Poker Tour teams up with Partypoker LIVE

The World Poker Tour (WPT) has announced its four-year partnership with Partypoker LIVE, promising to provide more venues for players to choose from.

The international events will come with €21 million in guaranteed total prizes across seven stops, meaning each tournament will offer €3 million GTDs.

“The World Poker Tour is proud to partner with Partypoker LIVE on this new, four-year global initiative,” said Adam Pliska the CEO of the WPT.

He continued with praising Partypoker LIVE: “The partnership allows the WPT to continue its dedication of bringing world-class poker to people’s lives, and we are honored to have John Duthie and the entire team at Partypoker LIVE sharing in this value. Together with partypoker LIVE, we look forward to elevating the game for all levels,”

The first event will take place in Playground Poker Club in Montreal, Canada, in October this year. The WPT Montreal festival will offer three buy-in levels - WPT500, WPTDeepstacks, and the WPT Main Tour.

Other events, such as WPT Sochi will run at Casino Sochi in February next year, while at the Dusk Till Dawn Casino in the UK during April.

President of Partypoker LIVE, John Duthie also hailed the partnership: “the WPT has always aimed to put the players first, and that is a mission we strongly adhere to with our Partypoker LIVE events. Collaborating with the WPT on these additional events across Canada and Europe will allow us to continue to provide players with the tournaments they want across the globe.”
