It’s that time again, with GGPoker introducing the third instalment of the WSOP Winter Circuit Series. Kicking off on the 4th of December 2022, this series is set to run until the 9th of January. With the prize money at a whopping $150m, you can be sure this will be a spectacle to enjoy. Below, we explore the different aspects of this online circuit.
What’s This Series?
Held on GGPoker, this event features 18 circuits in the series, with hundreds of smaller side events also available. This online poker affair offers golden poker rings to the winners of the circuits, with 18 rings up for grabs and 50% more guarantees than in previous years.
The most significant iteration of this event yet, the 2022 WSOP Winter Series runs for more than a month and offers a broader range of available events than ever before.
Circuits in the Event
There are 18 circuits in this online poker event, with the first circuit starting hot with over 34,000 participants. After generating prize money of over $1.5m, the first event beat its expected guarantee by almost 60%.
For the second circuit, over 700 entrants participated, with a prize pool of around $7.2m created. The third circuit is also expected to deliver a seven-figure prize.
Holiday Events
Besides the 18 circuits, there are hundreds of side events, some holiday-themed. You’ll find the Merry MILLIONAIRE MAKER, with a $1,500 entry fee and a $5m guaranteed prize. On the 18th of December, you can join the Jingle Bells FLIP AND GO NLH event, with a lower entry fee of $100 and a $1m guaranteed prize.
With a buy-in of $400, you also stand a chance to win $2.5m in the CHRISTMAS COLOSSUS NLH. Keep an eye on the series as many more side events become available.
Prize Money and Other Rewards
This series promises significant prize money, with a total of $150m at stake, ending with a $10m main event. All circuit winners will win a golden WSOPC ring, which gives them an automatic seat at the WSOP Million Dollar Freeroll in Las Vegas during the WSOP 2023.
A $1m in added prize money will be available during the freeroll and open to all ring winners in the 2022/2023 circuit calendar.
While this year’s iteration of the series has no trivia quiz featuring $50,000 in prizes like last year, there are still many other events and prizes up for grabs, with an average of $2m available during each circuit ring event.
More With The 2022 Series
This online poker series promises to deliver the most significant awards yet. While buy-ins are slightly more expensive than the 2021 iteration, it’s still 28% less than the inaugural circuit series.
Another WSOP Series is available for Ontario players, with C$5m in prize money. Find out more about this GGPoker WSOP Winter Circuit and become part of the thrilling poker games.
