Unibet Spring Tournament Series
Unibet recently unveiled a new tournament schedule for Spring and is the first operator to do so. The series is tentatively scheduled to start on the 26th of February and will last until the 12th of March. Unibet’s Spring Poker Championship is part of a series of events held outside their flagship brand, Unibet Online Series.
Still, it offers a prize pool of €540,550 stretched over 92 events, with each event averaging around €5,876. However, the operators haven't yet finalised the tournament schedule, so this figure can still change.
Unibet Poker Events
This series follows the three-tier buy-in structure that has become popular among players. This structure ensures any player with all sizes of bankrolls can participate. There are Low, Medium, and High buy-in events. The buy-ins range from as low as €2 to as high as €250 for high-rollers.
Phased Tournaments
The phased tournaments consist of two events. These events start with prize pools of €5,000 and €25,000. The main events in these tournaments are three No Limit Hold’em ones. The low buy-in is €5, while the medium buy-in is €25. The high buy-in event features a guaranteed prize pool in the series at €100,000, with a €100 buy-in.
Main Events
The main event accompanying the NLHE is a Pot-Limit Omaha match, a first for the Unibet Spring Series. The combined guarantee for this event is €14,000. However, the high-roller flagship event Supermoon has a buy-in of €250 and a guaranteed prize pool of €50,000. The low and medium tiers of this have a €5 and €25 buy-in, with prize pools of €1,500 and €6,000.
Grandmaster Magnus Carlsen
The kick-off event for this series features three buy-ins of €5, €25, and €100. What makes this event so unique is the participation of Grandmaster Magnus Carlsen in all three events. The Unibet ambassador is a famous Norwegian Chess Pro, who Kindred Group announced as the Unibet ambassador in 2020, and they extended this position for another two years in 2022.
Kindred Group said they expect excellent results in the fight against problem gambling by appointing the highest-ranked chess player as their ambassador.
Leaderboards
There will be four leaderboards where players can compete for the top position. Three leaderboards are for the Low, Mid, and High tiers, while the fourth is an overall tournament leaderboard. Over the 92 events, players can duke it out to become the top poker player in the series.
Participate in a €5,000 Rakerace
We expect other brands like GGPoker, 888poker, PartyPoker, iPoker, and more to release their spring tournaments soon. However, in the meantime, you can enjoy an exclusive €5,000 cash race at Unibet, courtesy of Rakerace.com.
It runs until the 28th of February, and you must register through rakerace.com to be eligible for the event. This race is unique in the market and could help you maximise your overall rakeback in the room.
