Dutch Players Celebrate GGPokers Second Anniversary with the Jubileum Serie

GGPoker entered the Dutch market in 2021, and it’s time to celebrate its two-year anniversary. Like the first anniversary celebration, this one promises to be held in style, available exclusively to Dutch players. It started on the 2nd of October, and the event will run until the 29th of October, with multiple Day 1 flights and more.

History of GGPoker in the Dutch Market

When the Dutch market opened for the first time in 2021 with the regulating authority Kansspelautoriteit (KSA) at the helm, GGPoker was the first one there.

When the nationwide self-exclusion tool had issues and made it challenging to verify players, GGPoker pushed through, and it remains a strong influence on the Dutch poker market. As it’s one of the few poker rooms available to players legally, the others being Unibet, Holland Casino and Bet365 NL, it’s no surprise that it’s a popular room.

GGPoker Partnerships

GGPoker entered various partnerships to solidify its presence, starting with Almere City, a local football club. It also started working together with the existing poker communities throughout Holland. .

The Dutch Open Poker Championship (Open Nederlands Kampioenschap Poker (ONK)) is the largest poker community in the market. So it’s no surprise GGPoker partnered with them. Further, GGPoker became the WSOP Circuit Venlo’s official sponsor. It played host to the WSOP Venlo Circuit’s online qualifiers many times.

Seeing all that the poker room has done to make its site and brand welcoming for Dutch players, it’s no surprise that it won the title of Best Online Poker Room of 2023. This title was awarded by a joint initiative between OneTime and CasinoNieuws, Online Casino van het Jaar.

Jubileum Serie Format

The Jubileum Serie, or the GGPoker Netherlands Anniversary Series, is exclusively available to Dutch players and places $150,000 on the line. While it’s less than the total guarantee of $175,000 the brand promised in last year’s celebration tournament, it’s still a respectable amount.

Format

There will be four events, each with multiple Day 1 flights as part of the multi-day events. Each event runs for a week, with the final day scheduled for the Sunday of the week the event runs. Many satellites, starting with $1 buy-ins, are available throughout the tournament.

The four events feature four buy-in levels: Micro, Low, Medium, and High. The following events will define the tournament:
