GGPoker’s New GGPass Revolutionizes Poker Login Procedures

GGPoker has risen to the challenge of being the King of all Poker over the last few years. GGPoker is known for its record-breaking tournaments, innovative features, and stable software. The latest in its innovations to make its platform more user-friendly is the GGPass. However, what does this “pass” entail, and what does it mean for poker players?

The GGPass is a Single Sign-On mechanic that unifies all GGPoker’s platforms. These include ClubGG, Natural8, and its dot-com, Ontario, and UK rooms. This single sign-on means that players must create a new nickname. 

Players must now use this nickname instead of their mobile numbers or usernames to sign on. For anyone who forgets their login, there will be a “Find My GGPass ID” button, and the “Remember Password” option will be reset.

This change will make it easier to access your different accounts on GGPoker platforms. You don’t need to remember multiple logins and passwords; everything is unified under one login. Further, linking all your accounts using the same email under one login allows you to transfer funds between them. 

For example, your balance between ClubGG and GGpoker can be shared. Your GGPass supports social media login integrations, so you’re still set if you signed up using Facebook, Google, or Apple accounts.

With the new GGPass comes some restrictions. The first is that since all accounts are now nestled under one ID, there are specific promotions you can only claim once. The Honeymoon promotion is one such instance, with players only able to claim it once per ID.

Buying staking on the same ID is prohibited, and you can only register for a tournament once per ID. Players should treat all their GGPoker accounts as one entity now, which means the usual restrictions for poker rooms will apply to their GGPass.

This feature was rolled out on June 28th, and any new players were directed to create an ID. The system also prompted existing players to create a new ID for their accounts when logged in. However, as expected from any new system, there were a few hiccups along the way.

On July 1st, GGPoker had severe issues with its login service, which continued for about an hour. It resulted in the cancellation of various tournaments and refunds to players. However, once the poker room resolved it, no further disruptions happened.

While PokerStars once had something similar, it’s since become defunct. The Stars Account system debuted in 2016 and unified the login across multiple brands for their support, cashier, account, and balance settings. However, with numerous brands part of this network closing down (Full Tilt, BetStars, and Duel), this mechanic is also retired.
