Betfair Poker informed their customers of the change via email; they announced that Betfair Poker moves to the iPoker Network offering "more players, more tables, cash games 24/7 and a greater range of tournaments - not to mention Speed Poker".
Even though Betfair Poker is set to move completely to the iPoker Network by 21 January, the Ongame Network stays available until mid-2013, but new players can only access iPoker.
Betfair Poker joins iPoker's primary network, therefore they will share the player pool with Bet365, Everest Poker, Poker770, PaddyPower, Titan Poker, Winner Poker and William Hill. It was announced in September that iPoker separates its rooms into two distinct tiers on the basis of their traffic. They have been grading their rooms since 1 July. The requirement for a poker skin to be a part of the network was at least 6,000 active cash players a month, (with $1 rake generated) and 850 new cash players each month, but the fish to regular ratio was also considered. The above prerequisites were matched by the rooms listed with Betfair Poker joining the club.
These changes will only affect Rakerace.com players very little. Our exclusive $5,000 Race will conclude in the Ongame Network, and you can expect a similar promotion in the iPoker Network from February.
iPoker has been through major developments recently. Everest Poker's arrival raised traffic by 15%, with Betfair Poker, another 10-15% is expected. Ongame continues to lose traffic, as another major room leaves after Bwin.
