The top tier of the iPoker network currently consists of Bet365, Everest, PaddyPower, Poker770, Titan Poker and William Hill, while the second tier features Betfred, DafaPoker, Genting Poker, MyBet, etc. Let us take a look at the SNG games, including the particularly popular Jackpot SNGs, as well as the great guarantee MTTs.
The split followed the following principles, concerning SNGs:
- HU SNGs up to $/€/£30 stakes
- SH or FR SNGs up to $/€/£10 stakes
On stakes above these, players of both tiers play at the same tables, which means that above the $/€/£10 stakes ($/€/£30 in HU games) there is no difference between the top and secondary tier SNG traffics.
We took a look at Hold’em games and did not differentiate among $, € and £ games. We checked week day afternoon’s traffic and got the following results:
The Jackpot SNGs have not been split, there are the same events in the whole network with tens of thousands of dollars to be won. At the time of our test, 16 Dirty Dozen, 9 Maui, 3 Rio and 1 Fort Knox Jackpot SNG tables were running at iPoker.
The split did not affect MTTs, either: all players of the iPoker network can participate in the same tournaments. With the exception of Thursday, there is a “Flagship” MTT for each day of the week with high guaranteed prize pool and handsome sums for the top finishers.
It is also worth mentioning the Sunday tournaments, where there are a number of major guaranteed tourneys in addition to the $200,000 guaranteed, listed below:
- $80+$8 buy-in $20k GTD Sunday Warm Up, 16:00 GMT
- $100+$9 buy-in $30k GTD Sunday, 19:00 GMT
- $200+$15 buy-in $30k GTD Sunday 2nd Chance, 20:00 GMT
The secondary tier rooms are apparently behind in terms of SNG traffic as opposed to the top tier rooms. This handicap can be further increased by the end of January, when Betfair is now said to join with its full player pool to the top iPoker tier.
