Allen Bari had been way ahead of the other three players throughout the 4-handed session of the WSOP $5,000 NLHE Event; eventually, he earned his first ever golden bracelet playing aggressively, defeating Maria Ho heads-up.
The 4-handed finale of WSOP Event #4 $5,000 NLHE Final Table was postponed from Saturday to Sunday: Allen Bari (9,125,000), Nicholas Blumenthal (1,250,000), Maria Ho (1,200,000) and Sean LeFort (1,142,000) clashed for the $874,116 first prize. As one can tell, Bari had an immense head start, so the rest of the field needed all their skill or at least an equally whopping amount of luck to catch up with him. Fortunately, Maria Ho was quick to prove the match was not over yet; in the first major hand at level 31 (10,000/50,000/100,000), she called Bari’s all-in with her remaining 810,000:

Bari: {#}6 {#}5
Ho: {#}A {#}Q

Board: {#}A {#}A {#}2 {#}A X

Ho first flopped a set then on the turn she had her four of a kind.

About ten minutes later, Bari was once again all-in preflop and Ho called:

Bari: {#}Q {#}5
Ho: {#}A {#}T

Board: {#}8 {#}6 {#}4 {#}7 {#}9

Ho won with higher straight and so she had 3,100,000 in chips while Bari was left with 6,980,000.

A bit later Ho opened to 200,000; Nicholas Blumenthal shoved 1,310,000 and Ho called.

Blumenthal: {#}8 {#}8
Ho: {#}A {#}Q

Board: {#}A {#}K {#}5 {#}Q {#}J

Ho won the flip with two pairs, Blumenthal finished in 4th place.

Chipleader Bari played on aggressively, winning two major pots against Ho. Eventually, he went all-in again preflop at level 32 (15,000/60,000/120,000), this time on Sean LeFort’s raise to 300,000. The latter called.

Bari: {#}Q {#}9
LeFort: {#}A {#}K

Board: {#}T {#}3 {#}3 {#}K {#}Q

LeFort doubled up with top two pairs.

It was only a matter of a couple of minutes for the two of them to shove for yet another time: LeFort raised to 240,000, Bari 3-bet 660,000 then called leFort’s all-in.

LeFort: {#}T {#}T
Bari: {#}K {#}K

Board: {#}K {#}6 {#}4 {#}T {#}7

Bari won with a top set, amassing a huge lead for the heads-up (11,100,000 in chips against Maria Ho’s 1,875,000). Although the latter managed to double up once, she could not turn the tide; finally, Ho went all-in with 2,000,000 on {#}A {#}4 preflop. On a neutral board, Bari showed {#}8 {#}8 , winning his first WSOP title as well as his biggest live event prize ever.
