Sven Heinecker was out before stacks could be counted, followed by Stout in a couple of minutes. Pius Heinz finished in 7th place and then Alexander Queen and Winkler were eliminated before play was suspended for the day. Yevgeniy Timoshenko was out first on Day 4 and Simon Charette got to play heads-up with Polychronopoulos after Peter Ippolito was railed.
Polychronopoulos maintained his lead throughout the 2 hours long session; eventually, Charette went all-in with his remaining 1,400,000 in the last hand:

The following six players out of the 13 returning on Event Day 3 were seated at the final table of WSOP #49 $2,500 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball.
After a series of lost pots, Jason Mercier was eventually out first and then Eli Elezra finished in 5th place. After Masa Tanaka and David Bach also got eliminated, Bonomo and Martin remained to play heads-up.
The former managed to get into the lead at the beginning, Martin soon came back by winning two major pots. Finally, Bonomo shoved his 235,000 in the last hand and Martin called with 8-7-6-4-3 and stood pat. Bonomo got a king to his 7-4-3-2 and so Martin won his first WSOP title ever.
