Day 1A of WSOP 2011 Main Event ($10,000 NLHE Championship) is to start today, on 7th July, at 12 noon PST. Three more starting days are to follow to accommodate the thousands of expected participants; each day there will be 10 playing hours, 2 for each of the 5 blind levels. Breaks between levels will last 20 minutes, except for the 90 minutes long dinner break.

Those who make it through Days 1A and 1C (Saturday, 9th July) will return on Day 2A (Monday, 11th July), while those taking down Days 1B (Friday, 8th July) and 1D (Sunday, 10th July) come back on 12th July, or Day 2B. From Day 3 on (Thursday, 14th July), only four of two-hour levels will be played daily between 12 noon and 11 p. m. As promised, ESPN televises the Main Event from the very beginning with a 30 minutes delay, showing hole cards on the feature tables.
Throughout Days 1A – 1D, registration will be open until as late as 4:40 p. m., or the end of the second blind level. WSOP officials suggest that in case you have a preferred starting day, register as soon as possible, as capacity is limited and the fields need to be balanced, so seats are not guaranteed.
