As you must know already, the 2011 World Series of Poker Main Event boiled down to the final nine yesterday, also known as the November Niners, as the final is played in November. The speculations already began, and the most up-to-date bookmakers already released their first betting lines of the event.
November Nine Odds by July 21
It's interesting to note that the poker community considers WSOP champion Donnacha O'Dea's son, Eoghan O'Dea much more of a favourite than Staszko, the chipleader; however, he got slightly worse odds than the Czech. O'Dea has much better results as well; he won the iPoker ECOOP III Main Event ($315,000) in 2008, plus he had a runner-up finish at the WPT Marrakech ($388,532). Also, the poker community expects Ben 'benba' Lamb or Phil 'USCphildo' Collins to win, but at Betfair, Lamb is only 3rd with 5,40, while Collins is 4th with 6,40. The 3rd player in the chipcounts, Matt 'hazards21' Giannetti (24,750,000) is only 7,00 at Betfair. The rest are considered underdogs, therefore, if Pius Heinz, Anton Makievskyi, Badih Bounahra or Samuel Holden wins, that could earn a nice some to the brave punters who bet on their victory.
