The first elminination came around on the 34th blind level: Simeon Naydenov lost all his chips to Evan Silverstein in a flip. Hughes and Klodnicki followed. The Epic Poker League champion Klodnicki was beaten up by the online MTT legend Josephy (who is also MTT leaderboard 1st placer for 74 consecutive weeks), who opened to 28,000 got 3bet to 65,000 then pushed all-in, Klodnicki called with 348,000. Josephy showed {#}A {#}Q , Klodnicki {#}J {#}J , and the {#}K {#}2 {#}Q {#}A {#}7 board favoured the MTT pro.

Last year's $1,000 NLHE event winner Max Steinberg finished 7th; he went 3bet all-in on a {#}J {#}6 {#}T flop with {#}A {#}J , 420,000. The caller was Josephy again, with a {#}6 {#}6 set. The turn and river were dry, Josephy took the pot again.

By the 6th blind level (3,000-10,000/20,000) 2-time WSOP champion David 'Bakes' Baker went all-in with 452,000 from the SB, the BB Silverman called.

Baker: {#}Q {#}9
Silverman:
{#}A {#}A

Board:
{#}Q {#}K {#}3 {#}2 {#}3

The aces held.

The play continued, Alessandro Longobardi and Tim West waved goodbye; with Silverman's elimination the heads-up was all set.

Cliff Josephy - 2.500.000
Evan Silverstein - 1.757.000

Josephy dominated the heads-up, he didn't leave much space to his opponent. He built a considerable chiplead, by the 8th blind level (5,000-15,000/30,000) he managed to end the tournament. In the last hand, Josephy opened to 60,000, Silverstein raised all-in, Josephy called.

Silverstein: {#}K {#}T
Josephy:
{#}A {#}2

Board:
{#}5 {#}Q {#}J {#}3 {#}5

The flop was very dangerous for Josephy, Silverstein's outs didn't fall.
