The European Poker Tour Grand Final has started. This time around the final is not held in Monte Carlo as it was the previous years, but in Madrid. This is the first EPT Madrid ever, and also the first in EPT history, that the High Roller tournament starts earlier than the Main Event. The €25,000+€500 Main Event will kick off tomorrow, on May 7.

The High Roller event is already at Day 2. It started yesterday with a field of 58 players, including many well-known poker pros, and wealthy businessmen. The first day went very well for PokerStars' newest pro, Viktor 'Isildur1' Blom, he finished the first day of a tournament as a chipleader first in his life.

We can find many recognized names among the 36 qualifiers like Andrew Lichtenberger, Galen Hall, Johnny Lodden, Yevgeniy Timoshenko, Juha Helppi, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, Vanessa Rousso, Humberto Brenes and Tom "durrrr" Dwan.

Never ever have today's two most aggressive players, 'durrrr' and 'Isildur1' played against each other at a live tournament. However, Blom had to wait quite some time to play against his rival, as Dwan arrived 7 hours late, his 50,000 starting stack was down to 27,200 already, when he sat down at the table. He managed to build his stack a bit, and made it to the next day, but he's last with 16,900 at the moment.
