Poker Industry PRO published a seven-question interview with the Head of Poker at the popular poker room. Here are the highlights for you.

In the September party spirit, here's what partypoker's Head of Poker Tom Waters had to say about the room in an interview with Poker Industry PRO.
He discussed the ongoing POWERFEST, saying they've decided to up the guaranteed prize pool by $15 million because the steady growth in daily player traffic makes them confident they will be able to cover it. He also mentioned the Monster Series, a low to mid stakes tournament series on party starting in October right after September's POWERFEST, which will feature more non-NLHE events.
When asked about party's new loyalty rewards system, Walter had this to say:
"We wanted to move away from the gimmicky nature of many reward programmes that are on offer in the poker market at the moment. We wanted to offer players a transparent, simple and rewarding scheme that would deliver regular cash rewards into their accounts on a weekly basis. The cashback scheme rewards our loyal higher volume players.
We look after our recreational players in other ways, including ticket drops and other freebies that equate to a very reasonable level of rakeback. We have made a number of statements over the last 18 months about our commitment to balance the ecology and our primary concern is dealing with the various different pieces of third-party software that have been developed to provide an edge to users."
He ended the interview by giving our party players much to be optimistic about since, as he put it, he can "confidently state that in a year’s time you will see a significant improvement in our desktop software, further improvements to the ecology, bigger and better live events".
