WSOPE 2011 Is Underway - Hellmuth Looking For 12th Bracelet

The World Series of Poker Europe 2011 is finally here, the first event already ended with the partipation of 11-time WSOP bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth. The hot-dog-riding Poker Brat finished 7th, missing a final table appearance at the €2,500 Six-Max NLHE event. Guillaume Humbert took down the main prize in the end.

The German 26 year old Benny Spindler won the £5,000 buy-in main event of the EPT London. After eliminating most of the final 8, he defeated American Steve O'Dwyer heads-up, taking home the £750,000 prize and a Shamballa Jewels bracelet worth €10,000.

On 4th October, Monday in the morning, representatives of Full Tilt Poker and the United States Department of Justice sat down in New York to start the negotiations that would pave the way for the acquisition of the room. Tapie Expects Full Tilt Poker to Reopen in January

As we reported last week, Groupe Bernard Tapie and FTP announced they signed an acquisition agreement. This is indeed good news, however, there are still many obstacles in the way of reopening Full Tilt, which Tapie expects to be happening in January 2012. The group will begin negotiations with the DoJ this week.
