Bots Discovered at Full Tilt Poker

A few days ago, Full Tilt Poker has sent e-mails to a number of its clients concerning a security breach; i.e. some players got banned and their bankrolls confiscated due to botting at the room’s tables. Affected players were refund for their losses to these accounts.

Effective 1st October 2010, Full Tilt Poker changed their rakeback calculation method from dealt to weighted contributed. While the former favours the tighter multi-table players, the latter might be more advantageous for the loose aggressive and or the fish.

Betfair to Be Listed on the LSE

Making an anticipated confirmation, betting company Betfair announced it was to float on the London Stock Exchange, valued at £1.5bn, EGamingReview.com reported. At least 10% of the shares are expected to be sold to enterprises willing to invest both in and out of the UK.

Sega Says Goodbye

Sega has closed down its online poker and casino sites. Both offerings have been launched this March and were powered by Playtech. On the site they offered 125 games including slots, blackjack, poker, and themed Sega games such as Virtua Fighter and House of the Dead.

Double Hold’em, a new variation of Texas Hold’em has been made available exclusively on PartyPoker’s tables. For the most part, it is played quite similarly to normal Hold’em, except that you are dealt three hole cards, not two.
