WSOP 2011 Dates Announced

WSOP announced their 2011 dates on their website. The most notable 50 days of poker will be starting next May. The 42nd World Series of Poker will begin on May 31st, at the usual location, the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas in which it has been held since 2005. The event spans through 50 days, and will run until July 19.

Esfandiari Wins WPT Five Diamond Classic

Antonio Esfandiari won the $10,300 World Poker Tour Five Diamond Classic Main Event, beating Andrew Robl heads-up. Esfandiari earned $870,000 along with his second WPT title.

Sebastian Homann Wins WPT Marrakech

Sebastian Homann won the World Poker Tour Marrakech Main Event, earning €244,000.

Kent Lundmark Wins EPT Barcelona

Swedish Kent Lundmark won the 8-handed final table of the PokerStars European Poker Tour Barcelona main event.Eight players made it to the final table of the EPT Barcelona €5,300 Main Event. The chipleader was Giuseppe Pantaleo but the favourite was WSOP champion Konstantin Puchkov.

New WPT Events in Europe

World Poker Tour released the dates of two new, televised events for Season IX. WPT Venice and WPT Vienna, both presented by PartyPoker, will be held 3rd – 8th February and 25th – 29th March 2011, respectively. Moreover, the first WPT National Series event takes place in Paris.

EPT Barcelona Launches Today

PokerStars European Poker Tour Season 7 has arrived to Barcelona, where the main event starts today, on 22nd November, 2010. The buy-in for the event that lasts until 27th November is €5,300.

Tom Dwan, Phil Ivey, Chau Giang and John Juanda seem to have a good time playing against Chinese businessmen at some high stakes cash game tables in Macau. Phil Ivey won a $2 million pot there, according to some rumors.

WSOP Main Event - Jonathan Duhamel is the New Champion

Jonathan Duhamel, 23-year-old Canadian player has won the 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event. He played very well, exploited his huge chip lead and defeated John Racener for $8,944,310 in prize money.

Duhamel Vs. Racener - Final Heads-Up Coming Up

After all other finalist were eliminated in Sunday's WSOP Main Event final table, Jonathan Duhamel will face John Racener in the heads-up. Duhamel is in an enormous chip lead, he has over 180 million chips against Racener's 30 million.
