Epic Session between Isildur1 and Cates at PokerStars

Today, hundreds of people spent their time railing at $25/$50 PLO tables at PokerStars, to witness one of the largest sessions ever played at these stakes. No need to tell, one of the heads-up fighters was Viktor ’Isildur1’ Blom, the other being Daniel ’w00ki3z’ Cates (known as Jungleman12 at other sites).

Isildur found himself leading by almost $300K after only 700 hands, but the game went on until the two played 2085 hands, during which Cates had several chances for a comeback. He almost succeeded three times, but then went down again to stand up from the tables having lost $343K.

The game was, as usual, quite aggressive, there was no chance of seeing the flop without at least a 3-bet, but it also happened several times, that the players got all their money in preflop.

There will probably be a follow-up to this insane match pretty soon, which we are eagerly awaiting.
