888 Holdings have recently announced that they had reached an agreement with Facebook regarding expanding their play money Bingo Island application to offer real money games via the social network in the United Kingdom. 888 Holdings is the third company to be authorised to offer real money gambling through Facebook. Gamesys’ Bingo & Slots Friendzy has been available since August, while Zynga announced in late November that they revised their partnership agreement with the social network, allowing them to offer real money gaming.
“If Facebook allows real money gambling games on the Facebook web site in countries where Zynga has real money gambling games, Zynga will subsequently launch such games on the Facebook web site...,” the statement reads.
Currently these services are only available to players from the United Kingdom but are expected to be extended to other countries as well later on.
