As yet, only the structures of No Limit and Fixed Limit games are published, even though the room offers Pot Limit Hold’em as well. Further games will also be added later.
No Limit games range from NL2 to NL1,000, while Limit games are offered from the $0.05/$0.10 to the $10/$20 stakes. These are the limits also offered in the regulated Spanish market, although it was the operator’s decision rather than the legal background to set them, trying to tape customers’ interest and adjust them accordingly.
While not offered officially, a 5BB No Limit game type is detailed in the No Limit rake chart: currently available only at 888Poker, these all-in-or-fold games have buy-ins of 5 big blinds and they are typically preflop push/fold games. The 5BB No Limit is highly popular but not widespread among operators as it offers better than average chances for collusion.
As mentioned, the rake structure of UltimatePoker in general resembles that of PokerStars. In NL games, the rake is 4.5%, while at PokerStars it is 3.5% to 4.15% on lower stakes but also 4.5% on higher ones and in other games. The rake cap is $0.50 in heads-up games, except for the $0.01/$0.02 limits, where it is $0.30, similarly to other game types. In 3 and 4-handed games, it is $1 in the micros, $1.50 on NL50+ and $2.80 on NL600+.
The rake cap on 5+ handed midstakes tables is a bit higher than at PS: it is $3 on NL50+ (PS: $2.50 on NL50 and $2.80 up to NL600). Fixed Limit rakes and rake caps are almost exactly the same in the two rooms, except that at UltimatePoker, the rake cap is $1.20 on $2/$4 (PS: $1.25) and $0.15 on $0.25/$0.50 (PS: $0.16).
UltimatePoker follows PokerStars on a well known path, which is a relatively safe decision, not to mention offering the lowest rakes on the market this way.
