Sad news arrived early February, when Jack Ury, the oldest WSOP player ever, passed away. He registered to the WSOP first in 2007, at the age of 94 and he made it to Day 2. In 2008, he repeated the feature but he became a true legend in 2009, when his most memorable hand against Stephen Friedlander was included on the ESPN highlights of the Main Event and then gained mass popularity on YouTube. An extraordinary game, crowned with the coolest slowroll of poker history.
Ury participated in a WSOP for the last time at the age of 97.

Andrew ‘azntracker’ Li set up a new record at the end of February: in a mere 2 months, he reached the highest PokerStars VIP level, the SuperNova Elite. He needed to collect 1 million VPPs to achieve that and he managed to do so by 28 February.
