WSOP 2013 November Niners
It doesn't come as a surprise that Betfair calculates JC Tran to be the absolute favourite to win the tournament considering him being the chipleader and his massive final table experience. He is followed by the also WSOP champion Amir Lehavot with the second biggest stack.
The full list of odds provided by Betfair:
JC Tran: 4.00 (38,000,000)
Amir Lehavot: 5.40 (29,700,000)
Marc McLaughlin: 5.70 (26,525.000)
Ryan Riess: 5.80 (25,875,000)
Jay Farber: 7.20 (25,975,000)
Sylvain Loosli: 7.40 (19,600,000)
Michiel Brummelhuis: 11.00 (11,275,000)
David Benefield: 11.00 (6,375,000)
Mark Newhouse: 22.00 (7,350,000)
According to the odds, the bookmaker did not gamble here, they decided to follow the chipcounts. Only David Benefield stands out, he received the same 11.00 odds as Michiel Brummelhuis, who is also an online pro and has 5 million chips more.
It is not an unusal thing that a well-known pro gets low odds; in 2009 Phil Ivey was 7th according to the chipcount, and he was ranked the 3rd favourite, and as many bettors bet on him, his odds were outstandingly low.
Who would you bet on with the above odds?
