The Australian
The Age reported that police had arrested three Melbourne residents who tried to smuggle around $4 million worth of cocaine to the country. According to the medium, the three suspects are
Darren Francis Hughes (27),
Robert Alan Remeeus (27) and David Saab (37). In the poker industry, of course, word soon had it that the last name might belong to no other than the 2008
APT Manila winner Australian pro, who amassed over $500,000 in live event winnings over his career. More recently, this news has officially been confirmed.
David Saab
Saab and his two associates tried to conceal the approximately 21 kilograms (c. 46 pounds) of cocaine among metal parts on board a cargo ship sailing from Vancouver to Sydney. The border patrol and the customs officers, however, managed to find and confiscate the shipment and placed the three men under arrest. Given the fact that this is definitely a commercial amount, in case they are convicted, they can face a life sentence.
