This year's British Poker Awards (BPA) will be held for the third year in a row now; many prominent figures of the poker industry will get awards, mostly based on public vote.
The categories are the following: Best Cash Player, Best Tournament Player, Best Online Player, Poker Personality of the Year, Best Poker Forum, Best UK Tournament, Best Card Room Restaurant, Best Card Room Bar, Best Poker Blogger / social media, Best Poker League, Biggest contribution to growing & promoting poker, Player of the Year, Best International Player, Best Card Room, Best Card Room Manager, Best Tournament Director.
This year a few players got more than one nominations. Sam Trickett, for example has been nominated for Best Cash Player and Best Tournament Player as well, Chris Moorman and Chris Brammer are nominated for both Best Tournament Player and Best Online Player. Furthermore, Vicky Coren and Neil Channing have been both nominated for Poker Personality of the Years and Best Poker Blogger as well.

Last years' biggest winner came to be Jake Cody, who won the Best Tournament Player and the Poker Player of the Year awards. The Best Cas Player turned out to be Trickett, while Best International Player was Jason Mercier, and Moorman won the Best Online Player award.
The results of the vote and the award ceremony will be held on board of the H.M.S President yacht as a part of the London Poker Festival on 17 September, 2012. Tickets are already available starting from £21.85.
