We already <a href="http://www.rakerace.com/news/poker-tournaments/phil-laak-wins-his-first-bracelet-at-wsope/">wrote about</a> Event #2, which was won by the <em>'Unabomber'</em><strong> Phil Laak</strong>, scoring his first <em>WSOP </em>victory.

Jeff Lisandro at WSOPE

At the Ł5,000 Pot Limit Omaha tournament, serious sums of money were won by the finalists, but 18 players finished in the money. Lisandro, known as one of the best Seven Card Stud players have won his first non-Stud title, and earned a total of £159,000 with his victory.

If you are not sure what kind of man he is, well, he’s the kind of man who defeated Daniel Negreanu and Nick Frangos en route to his first WSOP title, and beat Phil Ivey in heads-up at the $10K No Limit Hold’em WSOP circuit event. Lisandro was the first man to ever win all three Stud events in the same year at the 2009 World Series of Poker. He already had 4 WSOP bracelets before his current victory.

The tournament keeps on going, Event #3, Ł1,075 No Limit Hold’em is currently being played and is nearing its end. So far it brought many early falls for players like Andy Bloch, Michael Mizrachi, Willie Tann, Men Nguyen and Jeff Madsen and good luck for relatively newcomer players.

We will be back with more info on Event #3 when the final table was played.

Here are the results of the Top 9 at the end of Event #2:

1. Jeffrey Lisandro – ₤159,514
