Mike Scarborough Takes Down WPT Hollywood, Seidel 2.

<strong>Mike Scarborough</strong> won the <em>2011 WPT Hollywood Poker Open Main Event </em>after, on a huge rush, he managed to eliminate the chipleader <strong>William Reynolds</strong>. <strong>Erik Seidel</strong> finished second.

2 players were eliminated during the first 7 hands, Ali Eslami ran into Reynolds' full house. Not much later, Andy Whetstone, online qualifier went all-in with pocket 3s on the {#}K {#}Q {#}9 flop. Scarborough called with {#}A {#}Q.

Tom Marchese was the next to leave the table, he went pre-flop all-in with {#}A {#}K against Reynolds' {#}T {#}T. The board was {#}A {#}J {#}T. Reynolds was ahead with his set, but on the {#}Q turn, Marchese made his straight. However, the {#}Q river gave Reynolds his full house, Marchese finished 4th.

In just 28 hands, only 3 players remained:

Erik Seidel - 785.000
Mike Scarborough - 584.000
William Reynolds - 1.568.000


Scarborough took down many bigger pots against Reynolds, he doubled up against Reynolds with top pair better kicker, a flush, and finally with A high with better kicker. William Reynolds finished 3rd, due to his misfortunes.

Mike Scarborough started the final heads-up on a huge heater, everything went great for him thus far. Erik Seidel only had a little more than 600,000 chips against his 2,3 million. Scarborough's luck was still with him during the heads-up, he finally beat Seidel going pre-flop all-in with {#}J {#}T . Seidel called with {#}A {#}9. Scarborough won with a straight, winning his first WPT Hollywood Poker Open.
