GSOP Live Baden 2013: Jouni Kallio Wins

Jouni Kallio took down the Grand Series of Poker Live Baden tournament for €65,130, besting the nine-handed final table, including Karel Kratochvil in the heads-up.

On Day 4 of the €1,100 GSOP Live Baden Main Event, the nine-handed finale was held. Robert Gorodetsky started with a narrow chiplead, sitting behind 1,307,000 in chips, followed by Karel Kratochvil with 1,294,000 and Jouni Kallio with 1,089,000.

The final table kicked off with continued action between Kratochvil and Gábor Péteri: first, the former took a pot, then Péteri opened to 33,000 from UTG, Kratochvil 3-bet to 68,000 and Péteri called. The two players checked away the 2-T-A-5-J board. On the river, Kratochvil bet 55,000 on his pocket kings, Péter called with A-4 and took the pot.

First out was Florian Wehr, eliminated by Kratochvil. Andrei Mjagkov, Vladislav Donchev, Danail Zhelev and Gorodetsky followed. On the 3,000/12,000/24,000 blind level, shortstack Péteri shoved his remaining 522,000 in chips from UTG and was called, once again, by Kratochvil.

Péteri won the flip but, in spite of doubling up, he was out next against Kallio, who colled his all-in on the {#}9 {#}7 {#}5 flop a couple of hands later.

Soon, the heads-up was reached with Kallio and Kratochvil. In the last hand, Kallio opened to 160,000, Kratochvill shoved his remaining 800,000 and Kallio called.

A backdoor straight was worth €65,130 for Kallio.
