Day 2A/B of WSOP 2013 Event #62 $10,000 No Limit Hold'em Main Event encompassed the combined field of qualifiers from Day 1A and 1B, a total of 1,890 players. Playing in separated rooms, the day saw the player pool drop to exactly 800 survivors. In the lead is this year’s $2,500 No Limit Hold’em Four-Handed event runner-up Nick Schwarmann with 413,600 in chips.

Among the most recognised names of the day, Jason DeWitt qualified with 382,900 in chips, in addition to Sergio Castelluccio (360,500), Rupert Elder (342,500), Main Event title holder Greg Merson (275,600), David Benefield (261,100), Ravi Raghavan (231,600), Richard ‘nutsinho’ Lyndaker (228,500) as well as ten times WSOP champion and living legend Doyle Brunson (224,000).

Despite announcing that he would not participate in this year’s World Series, Brunson could not help but enter the $50,000 Players Championship, as well as the Main Event. Towards the end of the day, he scooped in one of the biggest pots around: he called one of the MPs’ open to 2,500 from the CO and so did the player from the BB. The flop came {#}T {#}9 {#}2, the BB checked, the MP c-bet to 6,600 and Brunson called alone. On the {#}Q turn, the MP checked, Brunson bet 16,000 and his opponent called. The MP checked the {#}9 river as well, Brunson bet 45,000 and the villain called instantly – only to muck on ‘Texas Dolly’ tabling {#}K {#}J for a straight.

The qualifiers have already been seated at the Day 3 tables on paper with empty seats maintained for Day 2C survivors.
