Online MTT global leaderboard runner-up Calvin ‘cal42688’ Anderson won the PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) #25-M $215 FLHE event for a fourth title in the series in his career. This makes him second only to Shaun Deeb, who holds the current record with five SCOOP victories.

Anderson took down his firs SCOOP victory in 2010, winning a $16.50 PLO turbo event. Next year, he won two additional titles, conquering a Stud Hi/Lo and a Razz tournament – within 24 hours.
His most recent victory was earned in a field of 639 players. In the six-handed finale, his most dangerous opponent was Billy ‘b8chatz’ Chattaway, who boasts $1.4 million in online MTT winnings, but even he could not stop Anderson, finishing 3rd.
‘Cal42688’ started the heads-up against ‘nabourisk’ from slightly behind, but he soon came back and won the last hand with a flopped pair of nines. ‘Nabourisk’ showed an open-ended straight draw, after shoving on the turn.
Anderson won $23,643.
He came incredibly close to scoop in his 5th title as well, running hot in the #27-H $2,100 FL Triple Draw 2-7 event but he finished 3rd, eventually.
Interestingly enough, SCOOP titles record holder Deeb leads the 2013 Player of the Year contest, despite displaying no victories this year at all so far.
