However, Anderson returned to the online tables in July and it only took him a single session to reclaim the lead. Among others, he won a $33 NLHE Turbo event for $2,333 and finished runner-up in a $109 NLHE Turbo Cubed 1R1A tournament for $15,554.

The US pro then disappeared again, going on vacation but, as he tweeted, he would be back in the game before 8 September, when the World Championship of Online Poker starts. Meanwhile, his rivals have been busy exploiting his absence and three of them managed to get ahead of him in the global contest.
In the lead is once again ‘pessagno’, who is renowned for his unusual play style. The Brazilian has shown off a number of great results this month, winning the PokerStars $55 NLHE Turbo 2x Chance event for $6,505, for example. Pessagno sits on the top of the list with 8,093 points.

What is more, the Swede has a real chance of taking the lead from ‘pessagno’; the cards have really been favouring him lately with a 7th place in the $1,050 Super Tuesday for $19,793 and a 3rd finish in the $320 NLHE 6-Max for $6,338, both on Tuesday, in addition to taking down the Triple Crown as well.
The third position is occupied by ‘Legenden’ with 7,554; his best result in August has been a victory in Full Tilt Poker’s $100 The Turbonator event for $9,990. Anderson follows him with slightly less, 7,531 points, but he is more than likely to try and reclaim his lead upon the September launch of the WCOOP at the latest.
Also worth noting is that Chris ‘NigDawG’ Brammer is also back in the Top 10, winning a Triple Crown recently, like ‘eisenhower1’. ‘NigDawG’ is currently in the 10th place with 6,876 points.
