Danske Spil switched its online poker platform to the GGPoker Network on February 4, marking the end of a partnership with PartyPoker that had lasted for more than ten years. The move represents another strategic expansion step for GGPoker, which continues strengthening its presence across regulated European markets.
The transition took place quietly, without a formal public announcement from GGPoker. Danske Spil temporarily shut down its previous poker software and launched a new client built on GGPoker’s infrastructure later the same day. Players were required to create new usernames and now access the platform through a system labeled “Powered by GGPoker.”
White-Label Partnership: GGPoker Technology Behind the Danske Spil Brand
The agreement operates under a white-label model. This means GGPoker provides the software, network, and technical infrastructure, while the service continues to operate under the Danske Spil brand.
As a result, Danish players now gain access to GGPoker’s global ecosystem, including international cash game tables and major tournament series such as WSOP-branded events. This significantly expands the available player pool compared to the previous PartyPoker-based environment.
At the same time, the platform maintains certain local features. Dedicated cash game tables and freeroll tournaments are available exclusively for Danish players, preserving a domestic community alongside the global network. These local tables are offered in both Texas Hold’em and Pot-Limit Omaha formats, with stakes ranging from micro limits up to $5/$10.
Familiar GGPoker Formats With Adjusted Rake and Rakeback Structure
Danish players now have access to GGPoker’s full range of popular formats, including:

- Mystery Battle Royale
- All-In or Fold
The overall client experience closely mirrors the international version, with only minor branding and visual differences.
However, there are some important structural adjustments. Cash game rake has been set at 4.5%, slightly lower than the typical 5% used in many international markets. In contrast, rakeback is fixed at 20% and does not scale based on volume, reflecting adaptations to the local regulatory framework.
Danske Spil has also introduced daily freeroll tournaments exclusively for Danish players as part of the platform rollout.

Denmark represents one of Europe’s most mature and well-regulated online gambling markets. GGPoker secured the necessary license from the Danish Gambling Authority, allowing it to enter the market through collaboration with an already established and fully licensed operator.
