WSOP Online Main Event Final Table Set – $3.93M Up Top

Only nine players remain in the GGPoker $5,000 WSOP Online Main Event, which once again surpassed the 6,000-entry mark this year. With 6,008 entries, the $25 million guarantee was comfortably exceeded, creating a $28,538,000 prize pool, with nearly $3.93 million awaiting the eventual winner and new WSOP bracelet holder.

The tournament attracted a slightly larger field than in 2025, when 5,961 entries generated a $28.3 million prize pool. This year's Main Event produced the third-largest field in the tournament's history.

Only the 6,023 entries recorded in 2023 and the record-setting 6,146 entries in 2024 rank ahead of it. This is also the third time that the GGPoker WSOP Online Main Event has surpassed the 6,000-entry mark.

The Main Event featured a lengthy qualification period, with the first Day 1 taking place in mid-August and a total of 20 starting flights available to players.

Initially, Day 1 flights were held only on Sundays, but from September 7 onward they ran daily, with two flights scheduled on Sundays.

Interestingly, even shortly before the final push, it was still uncertain whether total buy-ins would be enough to surpass the $25 million guarantee. By early Sunday, 4,624 entries had been recorded, leaving the tournament approximately $3.1 million short of the guaranteed prize pool.

Sunday's flight added another 569 entries, but the event was still roughly half a million dollars short. Monday's Last Chance flight then attracted 815 entries, making it the largest starting flight of the entire Main Event and pushing the final prize pool comfortably beyond the guarantee.

With 6,008 total entries, the tournament ultimately generated a $28.538 million prize pool, 14% more than the original $25 million guarantee.

The figures from recent years show just how consistently the GGPoker WSOP Online Main Event has performed. Since the inaugural edition in 2020, the tournament has required an overlay only once, in 2021.

This year's tournament is notable not only within the history of the WSOP Online Main Event. With its $28.538 million prize pool, it also ranks as one of the largest online poker tournaments ever held.

Of the 6,008 entries, a total of 608 players finished in the money, with the min-cash worth $10,049.29. A significant portion of the prize money, however, is concentrated at the nine-handed final table.

The finalists will share approximately $15.52 million, meaning more than 54% of the entire prize pool will be awarded at the final table.

As in 2025, each of the top six finishers will receive a seven-figure payout of at least $1 million.

The champion will collect exactly $3,931,259.48, which by itself ranks among the largest individual prizes in online poker history.

And there is another valuable bonus on top of that.

In addition to the bracelet and nearly $3.93 million in prize money, the Main Event champion will receive a $30,000 Super Pass.

The package provides entry to the $50 million guaranteed Super Main Event at December's WSOP Paradise in the Bahamas. Including the value of the Super Pass, the winner's total package will be worth more than $3.96 million.

Play was paused once the field reached nine players, and the finalists will compete under their real names at the final table. Under GGPoker rules, all final-table participants are required to reveal their identities.

The tournament lobby also specifically states that the finalists are not permitted to make a deal to redistribute the remaining prize money, either inside or outside the GGPoker client.

The final table will be streamed with hole cards on a 30-minute delay via GGPoker.TV and the operator's official YouTube channel.

The 2026 WSOP Online will not end with the Main Event final. The series continues through September 28, with the winners of five bracelet events still to be decided.

Three of the remaining tournaments feature buy-ins of either $10,000 or $25,000, meaning several more substantial prize pools could still be generated.

So far, the 2026 WSOP Online has already awarded more than $100 million in prize money, while approximately 193,000 entries have been recorded across the series.
