CoinPoker Announces The One With a Record $5 Million Guarantee

CoinPoker is preparing to stage the biggest guaranteed tournament in its history, with The One offering a massive $5 million guarantee for a buy-in of just $250.

The multi-day tournament will run in October 2026, with players given numerous opportunities to reach the final stage through regular Day 1 flights and a satellite system that starts with freerolls.

One of the most unusual features of The One is its qualification bonus: every successful Day 1 qualification earns the player a $250 buy-in refund.

The main phase of The One begins on October 4, with regular Day 1 flights running through October 11.

Three flights will take place each day at 14:30, 17:30 and 20:30 GMT, before two additional Turbo Day 1 flights are held on October 12.

That brings the total number of starting flights to 26.

The standard Day 1 structure features a 125,000-chip starting stack, equivalent to 125 big blinds at the beginning of play. Blind levels last 10 minutes, while late registration remains available for 15 levels with unlimited re-entries. Tables will be played 7-handed.

Players are free to enter multiple flights. However, stacks are not combined: if someone qualifies more than once, only their largest stack will be carried forward to Day 2.

The final stage begins on October 12 at 17:30 GMT.

Reaching Day 2 comes with an immediate reward regardless of how the player entered the tournament.

For every successful Day 1 qualification, CoinPoker refunds the $250 buy-in, and there is no stated limit on how many refunds an individual player can collect.

Multiple qualifications can generate further rewards. While only a player's largest stack advances to Day 2, additional qualifying stacks are converted into bonuses according to CoinPoker's tournament formula.

This creates an incentive to continue entering Day 1 flights even after securing a place in the final stage.

CoinPoker is also running a re-entry promotion alongside The One.

From October 4 through October 11, the three players recording the highest number of re-entries into The One flights during each 24-hour period will receive a free Day 1 ticket.

Entries made using tickets do not count toward the leaderboard. In the event of a tie, members of CoinPoker's 3-Bet Club receive priority.

Players do not need to pay the full $250 entry fee to take a shot at the tournament.

Qualifiers begin on September 28, with direct satellites available for $5.50, $11, $25 and $55.

CoinPoker will also operate a daily step-satellite system feeding into those qualifiers. The first level includes freerolls, providing a route into the $5 million guaranteed event without an initial investment.

The combination of satellites and the $250 qualification refund could be particularly attractive to players who reach Day 1 through the cheaper routes. A successful satellite qualifier who advances to Day 2 still receives the full buy-in refund.

The One represents another major step in CoinPoker's expansion of its tournament schedule.

Offering a $5 million guarantee at a $250 price point puts considerable emphasis on accessibility rather than relying on a high buy-in to build the prize pool. The extensive satellite schedule pushes that approach further, allowing players to begin their qualification attempts through freerolls.

The format also limits the advantage of firing numerous Day 1 entries. Multiple successful stacks are not added together for Day 2; only the largest survives, with the remaining qualifying stacks instead generating additional bonuses.

The eventual champion will also receive a physical The One trophy, engraved with either their real name or screen name, as well as a digital version displayed on their CoinPoker profile.

With 26 starting flights, a $5 million guarantee and qualification routes beginning at zero cost, The One is set to become the largest guaranteed tournament CoinPoker has staged since the poker room launched.
