Paddy Power moved to the PokerStars Network (PSN) on October 28, marking another step towards the consolidation of Flutter’s online poker brands. The Irish operator follows Betfair, which migrated from iPoker to the PokerStars network in August.
The transition took place with little fanfare, and no official press release has been issued so far. Players, however, were notified of the change the day before the move.
PokerStars Software, Paddy Power Branding
The new client will feel familiar to anyone who has played on PokerStars. The underlying software and games are the same, but the interface features Paddy Power’s branding.
The most noticeable difference is the green colour scheme, which appears throughout the client and on the default card backs. Some rounded buttons have been replaced with square designs, while the navigation uses “Games” instead of “Casino” and “Deposit” instead of “Cashier”.
A few PokerStars features are absent, including The Rail, its interactive news feed, and the Events section showcasing live poker stops. These were also missing when Betfair migrated, although the games and core offering match those available on PokerStars.
There is a significant difference in branding between the two migrations. While Betfair launched on the new network as “PokerStars on Betfair”, Paddy Power has retained its own name: the platform appears as “Paddy Power Poker UK”. The main lobby carries no PokerStars branding, and the application icon also uses Paddy Power’s visual identity.
Paddy Power Poker accepts players from Ireland, the United Kingdom, Gibraltar and Malta.
The move also gives UK players access to PokerStars’ Stack+ loyalty programme, which offers up to 25% rakeback.
The migration coincides with the launch of online satellites on the PokerStars network for the Irish Poker Open, scheduled for March 2027. PokerStars and Paddy Power have jointly sponsored the Irish festival for several years. Players from both brands can now compete in the same satellite fields on a shared network to win their seats.
Sky Poker Is the Last Brand Yet to Move
Paddy Power’s departure is another loss for iPoker, which also lost Betfair in August. Although dozens of poker brands remain on the network, the exit of two major Flutter operators weakens its presence in the UK and Irish markets.
Flutter confirmed in August that it would bring PokerStars, Betfair, Paddy Power and Sky Poker together on a single global online poker network. As part of that process, the separate PokerStars UK platform closed in October, with its players transferred to PokerStars on Betfair.
Following Paddy Power’s arrival, Sky Poker is the only one of the group’s brands still on iPoker. Its migration represents the final remaining step in the consolidation. The move could happen soon, although no exact date has been announced.
