Alzheimer's Can Be Prevented by Playing Poker?

Growing body of evidence shows that the increased mental activity produced during playing poker can stave off Alzheimer's disease. Leading researcher of the disease, Dr. Jeffrey Cummings states that the more elderly people relax and pass the time doing nothing, the more likely they are to develop Alzheimer's disease. He says:

"The logical extension of the data we have on dementia is that a person who is still capable of working, who is mentally stimulated with a strong sense of purpose is better off from the cognitive point of view continuing to engage in that position."

What this means is that with playing poker, one can seriously reduce his chances of getting Alheimer's. But how much? If Cummings is right, even by 50%. He states that a 2009 French study conducted on 5,000 people showed that those who played cards just twice a week reduced their risks for all forms of dementia by 50%.

If this is true, Doyle Brunson have reduced his risks of Alheimer's to below 0% by now.
