David Coleman: GPI Player of the Year 2024
David Coleman has been crowned the 2024 Global Poker Index (GPI) Player of the Year, narrowly surpassing Jesse Lonis in a fiercely contested race. Coleman accumulated 4,383.70 points across his top 13 qualifying results, edging out Lonis by just 9.32 points.
Throughout 2024, Coleman demonstrated exceptional skill and consistency on the poker circuit. His year-end surge included six in-the-money finishes in December, notably a third-place finish at the Seminole Hard Rock Rock ‘n’ Roll Poker Open $5,000 No Limit Hold ’em - Deep Stack 8-Handed event, earning $100,000, and a sixth-place finish at the WSOP Paradise $100,000 Triton Main Event, securing $890,000.

In the GPI Female Player of the Year category, Cherish Andrews reclaimed the title, amassing 3,115.65 points and finishing just under 100 points ahead of four-time winner Kristen Foxen. This marks Andrews’ second time receiving this honour, having previously won in 2022.
Han Feng emerged as the GPI Mid-Major Player of the Year, accumulating 3,014.45 points in events with buy-ins under $2,500. Feng’s impressive year included victories at the Champions Club Fall Poker Open Main Event, WSOPC Tulsa Main Event, and Moneymaker Poker Tour Houston Main Event.
