Garrett Adelstein has returned to the stage of televised high-stakes poker: big pots, memorable hands, and flashes of his old form marked the Season 7 premiere of No Gamble, No Future.
The Backstory: The Jack-Four Controversy
Adelstein last appeared in a live-streamed game in 2022, during one of the most talked-about episodes of Hustler Casino Live. He lost a $269,000 pot in a baffling hand against Robbi Jade Lew, who called his massive all-in on a T-T-9 flop with offsuit J-4 — a hand that had no real value in that spot. Her call somehow worked out, as Adelstein was semi-bluffing with 8-7 for a straight and flush draw.
Adelstein accused Lew of cheating, pointing to her confusing and contradictory explanations for the call. The incident caused an uproar in the poker world, but later investigations found no evidence of foul play. Lew even passed a polygraph test that supported her innocence.
In the aftermath, Adelstein disappeared from the public spotlight: he stopped playing on live-streams and significantly reduced his social media presence.
Back After Three Years
Known for his fearless and creative style, Adelstein made his return on July 22, 2025, in No Gamble, No Future, streamed on PokerGO. The game featured $200/$400 blinds and a $400 big blind ante, with several well-known players at the table — including Andrew Robl and Kirk Brown.
Adelstein played two key pots:
- Against Brown, he took down a sizeable pot with a full house after his opponent attempted a failed bluff with a check-raise.
- Against Robl, however, he came up short: both players held top pair with aces, but Robl had the better kicker and claimed the $266,800 pot.
The biggest pot of the night also went to Robl, who made a straight flush in a $409,600 hand to beat a flopped set.
More Than a Comeback – A Message to the Poker World
Adelstein’s return wasn’t just another televised poker appearance — it was a clear signal: he’s ready to compete at the highest level once again, now back in the public eye. Neither the past controversies nor his time away from the cameras have diminished his passion for the game. With his signature aggression, sharp instincts, and table presence, “G-Man” is once again poised to be one of the defining figures of televised high-stakes poker.
The next episode of No Gamble, No Future Season 7 airs soon, exclusively on PokerGO.
