July is usually one of the quietest months for online poker traffic, but this year it delivered an extraordinary run of jackpot winners. The biggest possible prizes were triggered in lottery sit & go games across GGPoker, PokerStars, Winamax, and FanDuel Poker, an exceptionally rare occurrence within such a short period.

In total, six top-tier jackpots were awarded during July across four different operators, spanning the global dot-com market, Southern European player pools, and the regulated US market.

PokerStars accounted for the highest number of jackpot hits. Two were awarded in the global Spin & Go pool, while another was triggered on FanDuel Poker. Although FanDuel operates under the PokerStars brand in the United States, its platform is powered by Playtech technology.

GGPoker awarded two $1 million Spin & Gold jackpots on consecutive days, July 11 and 12, while Winamax crowned a €1 million Expresso Nitro winner earlier in the month.

The two PokerStars jackpots are particularly remarkable, as both were awarded at the $5 Spin & Go level. In each case, the game's maximum 240,000x multiplier was selected—an event with odds of just one in ten million.

Winamax's €1 million Expresso Nitro jackpot carries virtually identical odds.

GGPoker's two $1 million jackpots came in the $200 Spin & Gold format, where the top multiplier appears somewhat more frequently, at roughly 30 occurrences per ten million games.

FanDuel Poker's $250,000 jackpot was awarded at the $50 buy-in level, where the top prize is expected to appear approximately 45 times per ten million games.

Not Every Jackpot Is Paid the Same Way

Although several operators advertise million-dollar or million-euro jackpots, the prize distribution varies considerably.

  • PokerStars: The total prize pool is $1.2 million. The winner receives $1 million, while second and third place collect $120,000 and $80,000, respectively.
  • GGPoker: The $1 million prize pool is split $500,000 to first place, $300,000 to second, and $200,000 to third.
  • Winamax: The winner receives 80% of the €1 million jackpot, or €800,000, with the remaining €200,000 divided into €120,000 and €80,000 for the runners-up.
  • FanDuel Poker: Uses a winner-takes-all structure, with the full $250,000 awarded to first place. Second and third place receive no share of the jackpot.

Winamax Remains the Long-Term Leader

Despite awarding only one top jackpot in July, Winamax continues to dominate over the long term.

The operator has already paid out 25 Expresso jackpots in 2026, putting it on pace for another record-breaking year. It awarded 44 jackpots in 2025 and 42 in 2024, with most of those coming in the faster Expresso Nitro format.

GGPoker is also enjoying a record year, having already awarded 12 Spin & Gold jackpots in 2026—the highest total in the network's history.

PokerStars, by comparison, has recorded two top Spin & Go jackpots this year, both of them in July. Since the format launched, it is estimated that around 50 players have won at least $1 million through PokerStars Spin & Go jackpots.

Seeing six top-tier jackpots awarded by four different operators during the traditionally slow summer period is an exceptionally rare coincidence—and one that stands out as one of the most unusual jackpot streaks in recent online poker history.
