Just like last year, the nomination process was open, anyone could submit their favourite player. The 10 most voted nominees were the following:

- Erik Seidel
After the names of the nominees were made public, the existing Hall of Fame members and the blue ribbon media panel voted for the 2 new members to join the prestigious class: Dan Harrington and Erik Seidel.
"I’m very honored to be elected to the Poker Hall of Fame this year and it's an extra bonus for me to be going in with Dan Harrington," said Seidel. "We have played together and have been great friends for my entire poker career. Both of us refined our games at the Mayfair Club in New York. I have such a high regard for the many members of the Poker Hall of Fame that I have played with over the years and it's a real privilege to be able to join them."
Dan Harrington
Harrington participates in live tournaments since 1986. He has won the 1995 WSOP Main Event, but made it to the final table in 1996, 2003 and 2004 as well, which is a record in WSOP's history. Winning the 1996 WSOP $2,500 NLHE Event, he has a total of 2 bracelets. He also won the 2007 WPT Legends of Poker. His total live tournament winnings are $6,608,218 at the moment. He has also written three popular books on tournament poker and two books on cash no-limit games, which all count as classics amongst poker strategy books.
Erik Seidel
Seidel participates in live tournaments since 1988, his total winnings are currently $10,350,014. He won 8 WSOP bracelets in his lifetime, But just like Harrington, he also won a WPT Main Event, the 2008 Foxwoods Poker Classic. He started out as a tournament backgammon player, started playing the stock market and finally got into poker.
The two legends will be inducted officially on Monday, November 8 at the Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas during the finale of the 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event championship.
