Harrah’s Entertainment is expecting votes between 3rd July and 15th August on nominees from whom the inductees of the 2013 Hall of Fame will be picked. In addition to naming the player you would like to see among the best of the best, you need to provide a short explanation about why you think that particular person is suitable for the title.

Poker Hall of Fame 2013

According to the official Poker Hall of Fame website, the main criteria for the Poker Hall of Fame are as follows:

  • A player must have played poker against acknowledged top competition
  • Played for high stakes
  • Be a minimum of 40 years old at time of nomination
  • Played consistently well, gaining the respect of peers
  • Stood the test of time
  • Or, for non-players, contributed to the overall growth and success of the game of poker, with indelible positive and lasting results.
You can cast your vote here.

The results of the public ballot will be released in September; then, living members of the Hall of Fame, together with “a blue ribbon media panel,” will determine from those who received the most nominations which two players are to be given membership in 2013. The official ceremony will be held in November, during the Final Table of the WSOP Main Event.
