According to P5s magazine, Laurent Tapie, leader of the group aiming to purchase FTP, has moved to Dublin, Ireland. This was interesting, because that is where the office of Pocket Kings Ltd., the company owning FTP can be found. P5s's unnamed source claims to be an insider in the poker world, told that FTP and the Groupe Tapie are still working on finalizing the agreement with the U.S. DoJ, but it is really a closed deal. Besides, FTP has started hiring the staff that is necessary to operate.

Pocket Kings is truly hiring on the website jobs.ie, mainly looking for customer support staff in various languages.
Also, Orinic Ltd., a company connected to FTP, has requested a second category licence from the Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC). The AGCC announced Orinic's request on March 23d, and from that date there are fourteen days (that means until this Friday) to hand in objections.
As you all may know, the AGCC took the operating licences from the companies connected to FTP, namely Vantage Limited, Frico Limited and Oxalic Limited. Orinic Limited, the fourth in the row, received a licence only right before Black Friday, and it never got activated. The AGCC did not pull this one licence but left it hanging in the air. This makes it possible to reopen Full Tilt Poker.
As on paper, Orinic Ltd. has not lost its "trustworthy" status, this licence could easily be reactivated if a new owner comes. Without this, FTP would have to start a whole new licence acquisition procedure, as the companies that had their licences drawn will never be operating again.
Tu put it in a nutshell, all signs show that the Groupe Tapie will settle with the DoJ and take over control of FTP.
