On 17 June, 2013, Betfair Poker launched its entirely renewed site. What followed was the introduction of a number of improvements at the iPoker room.
VIP Club
One of the most important changes affects the Betfair Poker VIP Club. Based on monthly rake generation, players will be ranked into different VIP levels. The higher level a player is on, the better VIP treatment they receive and the better promotions become available.
The VIP levels are as follows:
SuperVIP players are granted direct contact with the new Gaming VIP Manager team at Betfair, receiving instant support in any question or issue that might arise.

Those who generate the most rake can receive up to 50% valueback at Betfair Poker. As seen in the Loyalty Club valueback chart below, reaching the SuperVIP level equals to an instant valueback of 35%. Players who keep fulfilling the SuperVIP requirements for three months get VIP Level 15 treatment, which means they are eligible for 50% valueback.
Team Betfair
Players who reach VIP Levels 11 to 13 receive special Betfair gifts (e.g. hoodies, baseball caps, etc.), in addition to the privilege of representing Betfair Poker at live tournaments. They are eligible to participate in private rake chases to win live event packages. For instance, a number of players made their ways to WSOP 2013 by participating in the Las Vegas Lock In VIP promotion.
Entertainment
Betfair organises social events for its VIP players, like visiting football games, participating in darts tournaments or watching horse races as means of blowing off some steam. To bring an example, Betfair has recently hosted a visit to one of the world’s most prestigious races, the Royal Ascot.

As far as central promotions at Betfair Poker are concerned, the Money Matrix will be replaced by the Summer Swagger $60k Rake Race, effective July, 2013.
The Summer Swagger $60k Rake Race is a collective term for weekly and monthly leaderboard races. $12,500 will be handed out in prize money in each weekly Summer Swagger rake race to the top 50 finishers, the winner receiving $750. The monthly rake race has a $10,000 prize pool and the top six positions pay, the first place boasting a $3,000 prize.
In the Summer Swagger $60k Rake Race, about the same amount of money is up for grabs as was in the Money Matrix promotion.
