Weekly Race Review - Find the best races for the second half of July!

author-picture Admin - 2015. July 15.

A couple of weeks ago I wrote about my decision to register to Betfair to get some spending money for my vacation and I got a lot of positive feedback, so I decided to share my process of choosing an exclusive race once again!

As you guys might remember, roughly 3 weeks ago I decided to choose an exclusive race because I needed to make some extra money for my vacation and decided to share my story on the site.

In the first couple of days I didn't get much going but after that I ran pretty well and with the help of the raceback returns and the first deposit bonus I was able to make a decent profit. Unfortunately I didn't win the drone in the special tournament, but I'm not a tournament player so I didn't have big expectations anyway.

After I returned from my awesome vacation...

...I decided to keep the ball rolling and look for another exclusive race, this is what I found.

Most of the exclusive cash races run on the iPoker network. Since I grew fond of the software and I still have a small part of my deposit bonus to clear, I decided to leave a small part of my bankroll on Betfair in case there is not much action in the other room. Betfair is running two exclusive races identical to the one I participated in last month ($2,500 prize pool, 15 paying spots, $650 first place prize) and I think I can achieve at least 60% returns with the raceback and the VIP system.

Gala Poker is once again running a massive $10,000 exclusive race, but I think that room is better suited for players who rake a lot, although the top 10 is achievable for lower volume players aswell. The 36% cashback is great value to smaller players aswell, but right now I want to focus on improving my game and not on grinding a lot. Maybe in a couple of months, when I have a bigger bankroll, I can come back and really battle with the "big boys" for the $2,200 first place prize!

Exclusive races in July

I really liked PaddyPower Poker last month, their first deposit bonus is great and the race returns look pretty high aswell, 44% as of the latest update! There is also a good VIP system that provides extra value and there are no huge volume players which is something that I really like.

There are also two great value races on Everest Poker ($5,000 prizepool) and one on MyBet ($1,500 prizepool) in the iPoker network.

Everest Poker is a great choice for both low volume players as well as serious grinders, there are a total of 75 payings spots on the race leaderboard which can be easily achieved and the first place prize is a whopping $1,000!

A friend of mine who is a ''cash race veteran'' told me that the level of play on the smaller networks is much worse, so I decided to check out a couple of these rooms also.

As I mentioned, Gala Poker offers a 36% cashback and a great race, but the big grinders in the room make it less appealing for a player like me, however, I found a great alternative, Intertops Poker, which is a room in a smaller network.

They also offer a 36% rakeback and the top 3/top 5 paying spots can be reached much more easily in the $2,000 exclusive race and the first deposit bonus gives an additional 21% return for total returns of more than 90%.

TigerGaming also has a great first deposit bonus that gives a 55% return and they are also running a $3,000 exclusive race. I heard that the players in the room are very weak so grinding out a profit should be pretty easy even without the race and bonus returns.

Unibet is also running a €1,500 exclusive race, which should be pretty juicy! Unibet recently bought the online section of the UK gambling company Stan James, which offers sports betting, casino games, poker and more. It's pretty likely that the Stan James poker room will leave the Microgaming Poker Network and transfer it's players to the Unibet client and that will most likely lead to various poker promotions and increased traffic on the site.

Most of the races I examined start today, but you have a great chance for good returns even if you join a couple of days later, so take your time and choose the race that suits you the best!

The Rakerace.com support guys are happy to help with any questions you might have, be sure to contact them if you are not sure about your decision!

Good luck to all of you, I'm gonna end my review now, it's time to get down on the grind!
