Unibet Open Bucharest was held in the prestigious JW Marriott Bucharest Grand Hotel in Romania. The series celebrated its 10-year anniversary and the organizers made sure the stop lives up to the reputation of the festival.
Main Event champ Marius Pertea
Romania's Marius Pertea was the last man standing, notching his biggest score ever, almost winning twice as much as he did at this year's PokerStars Champion Monte-Carlo Main Event for finishing 11th place. Marius took down the title and the €90,925 first prize. He is the third Romanian to win the trophy in the last ten years. Two-time champion, fellow Romanian, Dan Murariu also made a deep run in the tournament busting in 30th place.
Second place finisher Robert Vukovic grinded his way to the event playing online cash games at Unibet Poker and accumulating enough points to get a seat for the live tournament. He turned his online points into €56,500 cold hard cash and a great experience. Third place finisher Pavao Veža also walked the same route - getting a seat by turning loyalty points at Unibet to a ticket to the event.
You can also win a seat to a live tournament thanks to Unibet's loyalty program. If you want to know how it works you can take a look here!
The final table was a great proof of poker being a popular game all around the globe. The 9-handed table was made up by three Romanians, three Israelis, two Croatians and one Swedish and Slovenian players.
