The deal will officially start in May with the WSOP-C Russia, a debuting event in Russia and will be followed up with Partypoker MILLIONS Russia in August, Eurasia Poker Tour (EAPT) and the Russian Poker Championships in October.
In Russia, online poker is considered illegal but a law, introduced in 2014 created a special gambling zone in Sochi which allowed casinos in the region.
Partypoker has already worked with Casino Sochi and Resort back in January 2017, when they organized a two-week long festival there as a stop of their MILLIONS Tour.
“We were not only the first global poker operator to run an event in Sochi, we also staged the largest poker tournament in Russian history, therefore we are really thrilled [with] our new partnership with Casino Sochi and [are] looking forward to a long and dynamic relationship,” said Partypoker LIVE president John Duthie.
